Architect Les W. Travis
came on board at GGWArchitects in October,
2002 bringing a wealth of experience.
His architectural career
began at Southern California Edison. As the
Supervising Architect, Les was responsible for the
supervision of Project Managers, Project Architects,
CAD Technicians, Landscape Architects, and
Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. His team
supported an average annual workload of $20-30
million in project expenditures. During a
2-year period, his team was accountable for project
budgets of $90-160 million. Les as the
"Architect of Record" was responsible for numerous
project types that included computer centers,
corporate and administrative offices, information
and training centers, communication facilities,
maintenance and repair shops, garages, control
rooms, and warehouse facilities.
In 1996, Les moved to
Las Vegas and served as Project Manager for Kit
Carson Elementary School Multipurpose Building
before being invited to join Gary Guy Wilson
Studios in
October, 2002. He was appointed Project
Manager for educational facility projects, including
Clark Senior High School Theater Addition.
Currently, Les has been appointed Business
Development Professional, conducting sales activity
with current and prospective clients. Les is
also a member of the National Council of
Architectural Registration Boards and served as the
Program Chair for the Council of Educational
Facility Planners International.
